I am a member of Charles P. Allen High School's Social Studies Department.
CPA has committed to an emphasis on a strong liberal arts education by offering a wide variety of courses and extracurricular activities.
Our students can choose a variety of routes for their educational experiences, from the Nova Scotia provincially run program to the International Baccalaureate Program and the Options and Opportunities (O2) program.
The staff of CPA volunteers countless hours in order to give students a well rounded education through the use of extracurricular activities. Clubs and teams that tap into the students critical thinking skills include: CPA's Better With Bees, Model UN, Debate, Public Speaking, Me to We, African Heritage Month, Mindshift, Remembrance Day as well as a host of Mathematics, Science and Technical clubs for student to gain a rich high school experience.
